Something I thought about:
- There has been so much going on, and usually my body gives out at the end of the semester, but it decided to go right at the start of term. I was extremely frustrated because I’d scheduled a personal day and ended up using it as a sick day. I’m trying to find better ways of fitting writing and other interests into my routine, and I wanted some focused writing time as a way in to some projects that have been on deck for far too long. I ended up sleeping and reading novels for two days straight, and while it wasn’t what I’d wanted, it was exactly what I needed. Which annoyed me even more!
Something I did:
- Went to the anniversary screening of Hackers — it was ridiculous.
- Had soft launches for two major projects I’ve been working on for nearly a year
- Started all of the afternoon extracurricular activities
- Saw a lot of turkeys
- Got sick and had a sick day
- Went to my child’s soccer game in the pouring rain and somehow felt better
Something I read:
- My four slow reads: How to Live Together by Roland Barthes, The Long Form by Kate Briggs, The Mirror and the Light by Hilary mantel, and War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
- More Mariana Zapata novels
