Something I thought about:

  • What makes for a good Zoom (or virtual) party? Is it the size? Closeness of the participants? Having a host? Organized events? Participant ease with the technology? I don’t have any answers, but I think it helps to have some sort of clear hierarchy — either the structure is flat and everyone can take equal turns as they wish or there’s a clear host/moderator who runs the event. Also, the larger the event and/or the less experienced the participants, the higher the need for hosting/moderation?

Something I did:

  • Pandemic Christmas!
  • Baked two new (to me) cookie recipes.
  • Attended multiple Zoom gatherings/parties.
  • Took a few days off.
