Something I thought about:
- I’ve been feeling like the methods I developed for organizing and planning my academic work just haven’t translated to what I do now. I have way more meetings, and my schedule can change pretty dramatically from one week to the next. The kind of planning I did before was good for breaking down and managing large chunks of unscheduled time, which is not my life now. So I took a big step for me and let my previous methods go. Stopped cold turkey. I’ve started to set up a couple of new things… I’m feeling them out. 7 months out of academia, and I’m adapting.
Something I did:
- Celebrated a birthday
- Hosted book group
- Watched soccer finals
- Meetings, PMing, lots of logistics
- Started to rethink my planning/organizational methods
- Worked outdoors
- Went to a write-in
Something I read:
- Caught up on my War and Peace slow read
