Something I thought about:
- I was working with students on narrative voice this week, so I’ve been thinking about voice and psychic distance. The challenge of workshop this week was how to write an Experiencing I vs. a Narrating I (to borrow some terms from narratology) and to collapse psychic distance between protagonist and reader.
Something I did:
- I fell behind on grading last week and did a massive push to catch up and get ahead. It was a lot, but I made it!
- Started having individual meetings with students about their portfolios.
- Dealt with a lot of admin.
