Something I thought about:
- This week was incredibly busy, and I had to keep my mind focused on one item at a time to make it through. And I did. I also tried something new — I have no background or skill in visual art, and I went to an art class. I decided the style isn’t for me, but I’m glad I tried it and stretched myself and learned something. I ended up really liking embroidery and machine knitting — two things I picked up this fall — and I want to keep trying and discovering new things.
Something I did:
- Prepped a workshop
- Turned some work around on very short notice
- Ran a workshop at the IIIF online conference
- Usual meetings and PMing
- Had dinner with an old friend
- Went to a Madhubani art class
- Finished an embroidery project
Something I read:
- On the Block: Stories of Home, edited by Ellen Oh
- Finished two of my slow reads: How to Live Together by Roland Barthes and The Long Form by Kate Briggs
