Something I thought about:
- I’ve been dealing with shoulder pain for a couple of weeks now — it was quite bad last week — and I was diagnosed with a shoulder infringement (tendinitis). I’ve had tendinitis in my knees and hands and have dealt with it on and off for over 20 years, but this is a new body part, and there’s a learning curve. I’m fine, and it’s all getting sorted, and I’m lucky to have the time and resources to fully address the issue, and I’m grateful for that. But the summer took a bit of an unexpected turn, and I can’t do certain things that were routine only a few weeks ago, which is frustrating.
Something I did:
- Watched more World Cup soccer.
- Went to a meeting.
- Read through and filled out a lot of paperwork.
- Dealt with a bunch of medical things for myself + family. I started PT for my shoulder.
- Had coffee with a neighbor. Went to a friend’s for a cookout.
- A got me a pair of Adirondack chairs and set them up in the front yard so that I can sit outside and read and chat with neighbors as they walk by. So I’ve been sitting outside and reading a lot and listening to birds and all of their drama.
- Read.
- Went to “Arias Aloft” at the New England Botanic Garden. That was fun! We packed a rather excessive picnic and listened to opera and musical theatre and watched circus aerialists perform. The garden is full of birds, who sang through the evening, and we saw swallows and goldfinches, and it was a perfect summer evening.
Something I read:
- This Poor Book: A Poem by Fanny Howe
- Some light reading — started a Kelley Armstrong mystery series
