Something I thought about:
- I realized (once again) that I had a few too many things on my plate and too little time to really dive into them, so earlier this week, I did the difficult work of reprioritizing. It was well worth it, though. I’ve needed some down time, and I feel like I’m finally recovering from earlier burnout. I have better focus now than I did a month ago, and I feel less torn between commitments. And there’s something to be said for doing things that “fill the well” — like A & I went to a town library-sponsored walk through a wildlife refuge and learned about the local watershed and the rivers. This was a midday hike, midweek, and I enjoyed filling my brain with new information about what’s around us — especially things like plant names and ids. The guided hike made my brain very happy.
Something I did:
- PT (which continues)
- Some meetings
- More paperwork
- Went for a walk through a wildlife reserve
- Took my kid + a friend to their classmate’s theatre camp show, and that was delightful — I miss performing, and it was very fun to see middle schoolers putting their hearts into something they love
- Helped assemble a shed
- Redid my summer plan
- Read
- Started on some course planning
Something I read:
- More Kelley Armstrong mystery books on audio
- Heartstopper #6 by Alice Oseman
- All the Blues in the Sky be Renée Watson — this was a reread
- The Academy 2 by TZ Layton (continuing the MG deep dive)
- More Bishop scholarship
