Something I thought about:
- Summer camp started this week, which meant that the routines I’d established went out the window. The first week’s camp involved more commuting than the others, and it rained a bit this week, so I didn’t get my daily morning walks. I did get some focused reading and writing time, which was great. I finally started to make some headway into projects, and overall I’ve been busy but have had fewer deadlines to juggle, and the focused work time has been good for my brain.
Something I did:
- Read
- Bounced back and forth between two writing projects
- Watched way too much soccer
- Went to a couple of meetings
- Had coffee with a new friend
Something I read:
- All My Rage by Sabaa Tahrir — this one was a reread, and it’s really such a good contemporary YA (and I’m not just saying that because of the arc that’s modeled after “One Art”!)
- Legendary Frybread Drive-In ed. by Cynthia Leitich Smith — also a reread
