A Swiss PhD has multiple stages, the most significant of which are the private and public defenses. However, the public defense is not the final stage. We're only allowed to use the title "Dr" after a bound, final (i.e. correctly formatted!) version of the dissertation is handed in to the library.
Here are my three library copies plus personal copies for my advisor and me. The digital version has been sent. I'm already in the library system! And with that, I am officially finished.
