As part of my doctoral research, I have been studying Elizabeth Bishop's move to Brazil and changes to her poetics. Navigating material across multiple sources was challenging, so I began to map both her travel and her writing. Mapping Bishop is the resulting digital humanities project, which is now in public beta.
I am still entering new material and trying to find better ways of standardizing and coding what I find in the texts. We are also working on new ways to search and navigate the material, so both the content and the tool are under active development.
