Something I thought about:

  • Our home’s previous owner was an avid gardener — this is what he did in his retirement — and I’ve been trying to learn our plants as they grow and go through their various stages. We moved in the fall and visited the house once or twice in the summer, so this is our first spring, and there’s a lot to learn. The previous owners were really great folks — legends in the neighborhood — and we have a lot to live up to in terms of both community and care.

Something I did:

  • A lot of GitHub organization, project planning, and testing/debugging
  • Saw the Aurora borealis for the first time ever – simply stunning
  • Hosted a Eurovision party. Allez la Suisse!
  • A ton of running around and errands, as usual

Something I read:

  • Modern Poetry by Diane Seuss
  • Jennifer Chan Is Not Alone by Tae Keller
  • Something Like Home by Andrea Beatriz Arango
  • Started the next book in the Wolf Hall trilogy slow read: Bring Up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel
  • Steph’s new poem, a sestina that responds to writing advice Elizabeth Bishop gave to her students.
