Something I thought about:
- This was the fourth and final week of my intensive, and it feels a bit like the end of summer camp with people exchanging contact information, saying goodbye, and promising to keep in touch. Naturally, with every ending, there’s reflection, and I’ve been thinking about how the program was so much better than I’d expected — more work, yes, but also far more hands-on. I’m going to miss my new students and colleagues, who were both extraordinary and extraordinarily diverse. I’ve learned so much from all of them and will be unpacking the experience in the weeks and months to come.
Something I did:
- Wrote and turned in two assignments.
- Read about L1 interference in the context of a handful of specific languages. This was super interesting.
- Decided to tackle two new lesson frameworks to push myself.
- Finished CELTA!
Something I read:
“But, [Limón] says, this place—the precarity of the body, the way in which the body mediates the way we occupy the world—is where poetry lives.”
