Something I thought about:
- What makes for a good Zoom (or virtual) party? Is it the size? Closeness of the participants? Having a host? Organized events? Participant ease with the technology? I don’t have any answers, but I think it helps to have some sort of clear hierarchy — either the structure is flat and everyone can take equal turns as they wish or there’s a clear host/moderator who runs the event. Also, the larger the event and/or the less experienced the participants, the higher the need for hosting/moderation?
Something I did:
- Pandemic Christmas!
- Baked two new (to me) cookie recipes.
- Attended multiple Zoom gatherings/parties.
- Took a few days off.
Something I read:
- This was not reading, but along media consumption lines I finished watching The Mandalorian Season 2 and saw the first episode of Bridgerton.
- I like the Poetry Foundation’s VS podcast and enjoyed their interview with Aracelis Girmay.
